Facts About Julie
Have you ever wondered: who is Julie, really? Now it can be told. Sort of. This random knowledge is vital for the true Julie fan!
Julie was born and raised in Texas, but she has also lived in Tennessee and California. She currently resides in Canada, but it should be carefully noted that she is not actually Canadian.
Julie loves The Smiths and Morrissey. Possibly, her love of things that are depressing yet silly developed from listening to too much of their music in her youth. Which has long passed.
Julie is not a big movie-watcher, though she has seen a strangely large proportion of Kirsten Dunst's work. However, she lists her favourite movies as Harold and Maude, Mary Poppins, and Some Like it Hot.
Perhaps Julie doesn't watch movies because she spends so much time watching TV! Among the TV shows she enjoys most are Scrubs, Gilmore Girls, CSI, Farscape, Veronica Mars, and Bones. But her favourite shows are almost certainly The Office (US), Arrested Development and Joss Whedon's three shows: Angel, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Firefly. She's a bit obsessive about them.
Aside from fannish endeavours like building fanlistings, moderating Joss show re-watching marathons, and making icons, Julie spends a fair bit of her computer time working with PHP and designing scripts to help people automate their websites. Some of her scripts are actually quite popular! Right now she is working on developing a new backend for TFL. I am one of her associates in this project. It's hard.
Julie loves Diet Dr. Pepper, and drinks huge quantities of it. Speaking of Diet Dr. Pepper, she once said: "Really, it is my life."
Julie has over 4,000 AIM screennames and is the proud owner of almost 1 million stationary bikes.
Julie lives in Winnipeg, which was the setting for the 2003 film The Saddest Music in the World. This may have influenced her art.
