Whatever That Is

About

Fanlistings are meant to be places where all the fans of a certain person, thing, movie, song, tv show, etc. can unite and show their love for the subject in question. The original fanlistings network was the brainchild of Janine, who wanted to find out how many fans there were scattered around the world of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (the official best show ever). If you visit TFL.org now, you'll see that there are over 45,000 listings, so Janine's idea obviously caught on with the obsessive, web-savvy public. :)

This fanlisting is for the awesome Julie! Yes, that's right! Julie! To learn a bit more about her and find links to her various websites, see the "Julie" section of this site.

Why am I running this fanlisting? Well, Julie is a good friend of mine, and also I really am a big fan of her web design and fanart. I always really admire her layouts, and her icons are ... well, they're gunnderful. So when my other friend Holly put this fanlisting up for adoption, I asked if I could have it, and obviously, she said yes. And now here I am!

I named the site Whatever That Is because Julie's domain name, new-place.org, comes from a line from the Angel episode Epiphany:

Lorne: Sort of appalling, ain't it? To see just exactly where you've gotten yourself?
Angel: I don't know how to get back.
Lorne: Well, that's just the thing. You don't. You go on to the new place. Whatever that is.

This is one of Julie's favourite quotations, so I felt it was an appropriate name for her fanlisting. Also, she and I agree that it is a fitting reaction to some of her creations.

By the way, this site is extremely silly, but it is meant as a tribute to Julie and her work. Mocking takes place, but Julie doesn't mind.
